Sin embargo, ese informe puede haber sido prematuro, ya que CBS Sports informó que Madsen fue trasladado al 78.o distrito electoral de la policía de Nueva York en Brooklyn para ser acusado de dos cargos de asalto y allanamiento. El sitio web principal de CBS luego dijo que el hombre todavía estaba bajo custodia mientras se presentaban los cargos, alrededor de la medianoche. El informe dice que Madsen se enfrenta dos cargos de asalto, un cargo de entrada ilegal y un cargo de delito menor por violación de la ley local.

El 3 de abril, tuiteó una foto extraña y escribió: “¡VIAJE POR LA CARRETERA!
