Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling realizará TJPW ALL RISE ’25, una nueva edición de su evento este 9 de noviembre en Korakuen Hall. Se han anunciados varios combates atractivos en la cartelera como un nuevo combate por equipo por los TJPW Princess Tag Team Championships entre Ober Eats (Yuki Kamifuku y Wakana Uehara) contra Bumping gRitters (HIMAWARI y Shino Suzuki). Pep S. Caro tuvo la oportunidad de entrevistar a Shino Suzuki antes de este importante show. Entrevista con Shino Suzuki (TJPW): Lo profesional y lo personal

Pep: Formas parte de Up Up Girls. Haces vibrar a los fans con tu música y baile, además de con tu desempeño en el ring. ¿Qué significa para ti ser parte de Up Up Girls, tanto a nivel personal como profesional? ¿Cómo es la relación entre las integrantes del grupo?

Shino: Como actúo antes de los combates, puedo ver las caras del público ese día, lo que me ayuda a sentirme tranquila. También valoro mucho el hecho de ser idol, lo cual es una gran ventaja para mí, ya que no tengo nada único que ofrecer. Me permite mostrar más facetas de mí misma, y ​​estoy muy agradecida por ello. No quiero ser “solo de nombre”, quiero darlo todo y convertirme en la mejor tanto en la lucha libre como en mi carrera como idol.

Las integrantes de Up Up Girls (Lucha Libre Profesional) son personas en las que puedo confiar, ya sea sobre lucha libre o sobre mi trabajo como idol, lo cual me reconforta mucho. Se sienten muy cómodas conmigo. Como conocen tanto mi faceta de idol como la de luchadora, puedo ser completamente yo misma con ellas.

Pep: Formaste equipo con HIMAWARI. ¿Qué nos puedes contar sobre tu relación con HIMAWARI? ¿Cómo ha sido la preparación para enfrentar a Ober Eats por los títulos de parejas en ALL RISE ’25 y qué opinas de ellas como rivales?

Shino: Somos compañeras que empezamos a entrenar el mismo día. De nosotras, ella es con quien más hablo de lucha libre; solemos charlar y consultarnos de camino a casa.

No suelo mostrar mi determinación ni mi agresividad, así que lo primero que hago es dejarles claro que quiero ganar.

Aun así, creo que las dos integrantes de Ober Eats brillan con luz propia y las envidio por eso. La relación que Wakana-san tiene con Kamifuku-san, y la faceta que Wakana-san no nos muestra, me parece maravillosa.

Pep: Has tenido la oportunidad de representar a TJPW internacionalmente. A principios de este año en Las Vegas y en Texas. ¿Qué te gustaría destacar de cada una de estas experiencias? ¿Cómo fue competir ante el público estadounidense?

Shino: Me di cuenta de lo importante que es para un luchador tener una imagen clara, algo que lo defina. Quiero encontrar esa cualidad de “¡Este es Shino!” lo antes posible.

Me alegró que se emocionaran cuando les di información turística durante el combate, y me gustaría seguir haciéndolo.

Pep: Y ahora irás a Malasia y Tailandia. ¿Qué esperas con ilusión de esas próximas giras? ¿Hay algún otro país que te gustaría visitar para competir?

Shino: Lo que más me emociona es conocer a muchos fans en Malasia y Tailandia.

De hecho, oí hablar del plan para el espectáculo en Malasia hace aproximadamente un año, así que verlo hecho realidad ahora me emociona muchísimo, y estoy muy agradecido a todos los que lo hicieron posible.

Siento que es un futuro donde Japón, los ídolos y la lucha libre profesional se expanden por todo el mundo, y eso me entusiasma mucho. Por supuesto, me encantaría volver a Texas, pero también quiero luchar en un país donde la lucha libre profesional aún no sea muy conocida.

Pep: Queremos saber un poco más sobre Shino. ¿Podrías contarnos sobre tus pasatiempos? ¿Cómo es un día normal en tu vida cuando no tienes combate?

Shino: ¡Mi pasatiempo es viajar! Siempre que tengo un solo día libre, empiezo a pensar en adónde podría ir. Pero como rara vez tengo un día libre completo, la lista de lugares que quiero visitar no para de crecer… jaja.

Después de los shows, a veces hago viajes espontáneos a lugares como Atami para ver el mar. También me gusta coleccionar goshuin (sellos de templos y santuarios), ¡y espero visitar cinco santuarios importantes en Tokio para la primavera!

Pep: You’re part of Up Up Girls. You make the fans cheer with your music and dancing, as well as with your work in the ring. What does being part of Up Up Girls mean to you, both personally and professionally? What’s the relationship like between the group members?

Shino: Since I perform before the matches, I can see the faces of the audience that day, which helps me feel calm. I also appreciate the fact that I am an idol, which is a great advantage for me as I have nothing unique to offer. It allows me to show more sides of myself, and I’m truly grateful for that. I don’t want to be “just in name”, I want to give my all and become the best in both wrestling and idol activities.

The members of Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) are people I can confide in, whether it’s about wrestling or idol work, which is very comforting. They are very comfortable with me. Because they know both my idol and wrestler sides, I can be completely myself around them.

Pep: You teamed with HIMAWARI. What can you tell us about your relationship with
HIMAWARI? What has the preparation be like to face Ober Eats for the tag team belts at ALL RISE ’25 and what do you think of them as competitors?

Shino: We are peers who started training on the same day. Among us, she’s the one I talk to the most about wrestling, we often chat and consult each other on the way home.

I don’t often show my will or my bullishness, so the first thing I do is to let them know that I want to win.

I still feel that the two members of Ober Eats are sparkling and I envy them for that. The relationship that Wakana-san adores and respects Kamifuku-san, and Wakana-san has a face that she doesn’t show to us, which I think is wonderful.

Pep: You’ve had the opportunity to represent TJPW internationally. Earlier this year in Las Vegas and in Texas. What would you like to highlight from each of these experiences? How was competing for the American crowds?

Shino: I realized how important it is for a wrestler to have a clear image, something that defines who they are. I want to find that “this is Shino!” quality for myself as soon as possible.

I was happy that they were excited when I gave them tourist information during the match, and I would like to continue to do so.

Pep: And now you will go to Malaysia and Thailand. What are you looking forward from those upcoming tours? Is there any other country you’d like to visit to compete?

Shino: I’m most excited about meeting lots of fans in Malaysia and Thailand.
I actually heard about the plan for the Malaysia show about a year ago, so seeing it become a reality now makes me really thrilled, and I’m very grateful to everyone who made it happen.

It feels like a future where Japan, idols, and pro wrestling all spread further into the world, and that makes me really excited.

Of course, I’d love to return to Texas again, but I also want to wrestle in a country where pro wrestling isn’t known at all yet.

Pep: We want to know a little more about Shino. Could you tell us about your hobbies? What is a normal day in your life like when you don’t have a match?

Shino: My hobby is traveling! Whenever I have even a single day off, I immediately start thinking about where I could go. But since I rarely have a full day off, the list of places I want to visit just keeps growing…lol.

After shows, I sometimes take spontaneous trips to places like Atami to see the ocean. I also enjoy collecting goshuin (temple and shrine stamps), and I’m hoping to visit five major shrines in Tokyo by spring!
