Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling realizará WRESTLE PRINCESS VI, una nueva edición de su icónico evento este 20 de septiembre. El evento estelar del evento será un combate por el Princess of Princess Championship en el que Mizuki defenderá su cinturón ante Miu Watanabe. Pero, habrá muchos combates atractivos en la cartelera como un nuevo combate como equipo de las ex TJPW Princess Tag Team Champions Yuki Aino y Ryo Mizunami. Pep S. Caro tuvo la oportunidad de entrevistar a Yuki Aino antes de este importante show. Los temas fueron sobre por qué decidió convertirse en luchadora, la gira en Estados Unidos en 2025, hacer equipo con Haru Kazashiro, enfrentar a Mizuki en la más reciente edición de la Tokyo Princess Cup, su vida personal y mucho más.

Entrevista con Yuki Aino (TJPW): Lo profesional y lo personal (Spanish & English)

Pep: Este verano celebraste tu séptimo aniversario como luchadora. ¿Por qué decidiste convertirte en luchador profesional? ¿Qué te motiva a competir ahora?

Yuki: La razón por la que decidí convertirme en luchadora profesional fue que mi hermana mayor, Nodoka Tenma, dijo que lo sería. No se trataba de querer hacer lo mismo que ella, sino de que su decisión me hizo darme cuenta de que ser luchadora también podría ser una opción para mí. Hasta entonces, no se me daba bien desafiarme con cosas nuevas, pero por alguna razón, me pareció natural y obvio que debía convertirme en luchadora.

Desde mi debut, he luchado en cada oportunidad con el deseo de tener combates apasionantes. Quiero crear un espacio donde el público e incluso mis oponentes puedan participar y entusiasmarse. Esta es mi motivación para seguir luchando.

Pep: En abril competiste en el TJPW USA Tour en Las Vegas. ¿Cómo fue tu experiencia en este tour? ¿Visitaste algo por allí?

Yuki: Este año fue otra experiencia increíble para mí. Luchar en un nuevo recinto, frente a nuevos fans, e incluso ver caras conocidas entre el público; todo fue muy emocionante. Me dieron ganas de mostrar aún más mi atractivo, de animar a la gente y de luchar en tantos combates como pudiera para lograrlo.

Fue emocionante ver los casinos por primera vez en el aeropuerto y los recintos, y disfruté paseando por la ciudad y todos los edificios y lugares de interés que pude ver. Sin duda, volvería si tuviera la oportunidad.

No solo este año, sino cada gira de TJPW USA es una gran experiencia. Voy a mejorar para poder participar de nuevo la próxima vez.

Pep: En Summer Sun Princess, formaste equipo con Haru Kazashiro y ganaste un combate de triple amenaza. ¿Te interesaría que este equipo se hiciera habitual? ¿Qué opinas de Kazashiro como competidora?

Yuki: Conozco a Haru desde que era mucho más joven, cuando solía ver los shows de TJPW como fan, así que me alegra mucho que ahora sea luchadora en la misma promoción.

Tiene una personalidad muy seria y es de las que crece constantemente con cada experiencia, así que creo que tiene mucho potencial. Ya hemos conseguido algunas victorias juntas en combates como el de triple amenaza, así que personalmente creo que sería interesante hacer equipo con ella regularmente, pero al final depende de lo que quiera Haru.

Pep: Desafortunadamente, perdiste contra la Campeona Princesa de Princesas, Mizuki, en la Tokyo Princess Cup 12. La última vez que luchaste por el cinturón fue en 2022. ¿Crees que estás lista para volver a luchar tras enfrentarte a la actual Mizuki? ¿Qué opinas de ese combate?

Yuki: Últimamente me había mantenido alejada de todos los combates titulares porque necesitaba tiempo para reflexionar. Pero cuando me seleccionaron para pelear contra Mizuki en la primera ronda de la Tokyo Princess Cup 12, pensé que era una gran oportunidad para ponerme a prueba. El resultado fue una derrota, pero me mostró claramente dónde estoy ahora mismo. Siento que ya no es tiempo de reflexionar en silencio.

Pep: Además de la lucha libre profesional, ¿podrías contarnos sobre tus aficiones? ¿Qué sueles hacer cuando no tienes que competir?

Yuki: Ahora mismo es temporada de béisbol, así que veo partidos todos los días. Aparte de eso, disfruto viendo anime, leyendo manga y escuchando música. Tengo tantas aficiones que a menudo siento que no tengo tiempo para todas, pero me alegra tener tantas porque nunca me quedo sin temas de conversación.

Pep: Gracias por participar en esta entrevista. Para terminar, ¿tienes algún mensaje para tus fans de todo el mundo?

Yuki: No se me da muy bien exponerme, y sinceramente, no me gusta. Así que no diré nada egoísta como pedirle a la gente que me encuentre. Pero seguiré luchando cada día a mi manera, para poder transmitir mi pasión por la vida al otro lado del océano y al mundo. Me haría muy feliz si pudiéramos encontrarnos algún día.

Pep: This summer you celebrated your 7th anniversary as a wrestler. Why did you
decide to become a professional wrestler? What motivates you to compete now?

Yuki: The reason I decided to become a professional wrestler was that my older sister, Nodoka Tenma, said she was going to become one. It wasn’t about wanting to do the same thing as her, but rather that her decision made me realize that becoming a wrestler could be an option for me too. Up until then, I wasn’t very good at challenging myself with new things, but for some reason, it just felt natural and obvious to me that I should become a wrestler.

Ever since my debut, I have been fighting with the desire to have passionate matches. I want to create a space where the audience and even my opponents can get involved and get fired up. This is my motivation to keep fighting.

Pep: In April you compited in the TJPW USA Tour in Las Vegas. What was your
experience like in this tour? Did you do any sightseeing there?

Yuki: This year was another amazing experience for me. Wrestling in a new venue, in front of new fans, and even seeing some familiar faces in the crowd, it was all so exciting. It made me want to showcase even more of my appeal, to fire people up, and to wrestle as many matches as I can to make that happen.

It was exciting to see the casinos for the first time at the airport and venues, and I enjoyed walking around the city and all the buildings and sights I could see. I would definitely go back if I have the chance.

Not only this year, but every TJPW USA tour is a great experience. I will improve myself so that I can participate again next time.

Pep: At Summer Sun Princess, you teamed with Haru Kazashiro and won a Three
Way Tag Match. Would you be interested in making this tag team something
regular? What are your impressions of Kazashiro as a competitor?

Yuki: I’ve known Haru since she was much younger, back when she used to come watch TJPW shows as a fan, so it makes me really happy that she’s now a wrestler in the same promotion.

She has a very serious personality, and she’s the type who grows steadily by building on each experience, so I think she has a lot of potential. We’ve already managed to pick up some wins together in matches like the triple threat tag team match, so personally I think it would be interesting to team with her regularly, but in the end it depends on what Haru wants.

Pep: Unfortunately, you lost against Princess of Princess Champion Mizuki at the
Tokyo Princess Cup 12. Last time you challenge for the belt was in 2022. Do you
think you are ready to challenge again after facing the current Mizuki? What are
your thoughts on that match?

Yuki: Recently I had been keeping some distance from all the title belts because I needed some time to look at myself. But when I was selected to fight Mizuki in the first round of Tokyo Princess Cup 12, I thought it was a great chance to test myself. The result was a loss, but it showed me clearly where I stand right now. I feel like the time for just quietly reflecting is over.

Pep: Outside of pro wrestling, can you please tell us about your hobbies? What do you
usually do on a day that you don’t have to compete?

Yuki: Right now it’s baseball season, so I watch games every day. Other than that, I enjoy watching anime, reading manga, and listening to music. I have so many hobbies that I often feel like there’s not enough time for them all, but I am glad that I have so many hobbies because I never run out of topics to talk about with anyone.

Pep: Thank you for participating in this interview. As we close, do you have any message
for your fans around the world?

Yuki: I’m not very good at putting myself out there, and honestly, I don’t like it. So I won’t say something selfish like asking people to find me. But I will keep fighting every day in my own way, so that I can deliver my passionate energy for life across the ocean to the world. I would be so happy if we could meet somewhere someday.
